Hey everyone.
Welcome to episode 2 of Works.
Over the last few months, I’ve had some incredible conversations with artists for the Works podcast. And now (finally!) it’s time to start sharing their stories.
For the next few months, I’ll release a new Works episode biweekly. In the post, I’ll share a piece from the artist, and then sit down to talk about it in the podcast. The work is a grounding point, but you’ll love where our discussions lead.
Lynn Chen | Not So Perfect Pitch
Today, I’m excited and humbled to have
on Works.Lynn is an actress, writer, director, and activist. She’s had a multi-episode role on Grey’s Anatomy and acted in films selected for Sundance, TIFF, Tribeca and SXSW. As a director, her debut, I Will Make You Mine, was officially selected at SXSW 2020 and has a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score.
This is just some of Lynn’s credits. There’s so much more to her and her work. This brings us to Not So Perfect Pitch, the memoir documentary she’s sharing with us.
You can watch it at the top of this post.
In the podcast, we talk about the film, her childhood as a performer, the fleeting effects of fame, and more. I learned a lot in my time with Lynn and I think you will too. Listen to the episode by choosing one of the podcast platforms below:

One other thing before I sign off.
Lynn mentioned something during our talk that I wanted to share with you. She said she was open to premiering Not So Perfect Pitch with subscribers of One Word because she believed you were an audience open to more personal, intimate work. I couldn’t agree more. Her words hit home for me, because I believe this space can grow into an alternative to YouTube or Instagram.
Thanks for watching, reading, listening. Just, you know… everything.
Till next time,
- T
